What Can You Do? Get Involved!

Here are 10 simple things you can do to make a difference and help work towards attaining "equality of rights under the law" for both sexes.

  1. Sign this online petition and send a message automatically to your representatives in the House and Senate.

  2. Call your Senator and Representative.
Find out who they are by clicking here… and tell them we NEED a Constitutional Amendment for Equality and that you trust they will do the right thing and support this basic human right. (Calling is much more effective than just email or a petition).

  3. Spread the word.
Let your friends and relatives know that in fact, we do not have an amendment to protect people from gender discrimination; and isn’t it about time we did?

For goodness sake—Texas has had an Equal Rights Amendment since 1972 and Utah’s original 1895 constitution reads (Article IV, Section 1): “Both male and female citizens of this State shall enjoy equally all civil, political and religious rights and privileges.”
    Why not Minnesota in 2012?!

  4. Sign the Petition.
By signing the petition you let it be known that you support an ERA in Minnesota.

  5. Donate money.
So far this has been a volunteer effort, but even grass root efforts need money for flyers, buttons, t-shirts, and more.  A little money can go a long way.
